Working at Oryx
We are looking for …
… a mix of applicants, and the skill base we require depends on the job you will be doing. For any office-based position, we require our applicants to have a good grasp of the English language, a willingness to learn, an ability to work with many nationalities, and a polite and kind nature. We do not stipulate a degree, but some qualifications are required in some positions, such as Project Management or CAD. Logic and an ability to apply themselves to practical situations is a must. A customer-centric attitude is essential.
We do not stipulate a good grasp of the English Language for our installers, but it is required if they want to progress through the company. In addition, everyone who wants to progress must understand LEAN principles and desire to make the work easy.
Above all, we’re always looking out for exceptional people.
Motivated and Hardworking
Willing to Learn
Polite and Kind
Our Employment Policy
Oryx is not like any other company. Our employment policy is meticulously designed to align with our core values, prioritising the well-being of our team and the enduring success of the company. We are continuously learning from and being inspired by lean, people-focused companies like Toyota and Netflix, and as industry leaders in this region, we hope to motivate those around us to be even better.
The Oryx Work Environment
We care deeply about everyone, employees, suppliers and customers alike. We have a strict policy that forbids the use of “Mam or Sir”. We believe that only a fully engaged, happy and healthy team can produce amazing products which are delivered with exceptional service.
We care that if the company is successful then we all reap the benefits. And these come in regular pay awards, bonus payments, yearly flights, team building, Christmas parties, birthday payments and random acts of kindness, in addition to yoga, badminton, football and golf, daily fruit, sour dough bread, butter, marmite and great coffee and tea. The brighter you shine the more you reap.

Recruitment
We like to recruit our friends and family; it strengthens everyone’s commitment to succeed. We do not fear this.
We do not recruit directly from our Framework Partners, but we will look to recruit for them, so if we have a good applicant but can’t fit them in, we assist that person by sending their details to like-minded companies. It is important to support everyone that we touch.
Great employees are rewarded with progression, sometimes at great speed. We recognise hard work, great team players with fantastic communication skills, and especially those who seek to make the job easy for us through LEAN practices.
Generally speaking, good performers do not leave Oryx to go and work for another company; but if they did and that opportunity enriched their lives, then we would welcome their decision and be happy for them.
