Preventing Termite Damage

Termites can cause significant damage to your property’s wooden features, such as doors and windows, making them look unsightly and requiring expensive replacements. In some cases, termites can also attack wall plastering, insulation, and even certain types of plastic.

Look out for the signs

One of the typical signs of a termite infestation is the appearance of mud tubes or discoloration of the affected item.

There are various ways to minimise or prevent termite infestation, and taking proactive measures can save you time and money in the long run. For example, you can do regular pest control, reduce moisture buildup around items at risk, or use termite-resistant or pre-treated wood. These solutions can be expensive, repetitive and time-consuming, and could pose a risk to your family due to the use of toxic substances. The most effective long-term solution is to avoid using wood or timber altogether where possible.

Choose Aluminium Instead of Wood

We have over 150 RAL colours and finishes available, including wood-grain finishes, so that you can preserve the traditional look of your property even when the doors and windows are made of aluminium.
