Installation Advice

When it comes to installing doors and windows in the UAE and the surrounding region, there are several important points to consider. As experts in the industry, we want to make you aware of certain aspects related to our work, such as waterproofing, colour preservation, and shading. Although many of these factors are not solely in our control, the advice offered here is meant to help you make informed decisions as you upgrade or build your property. We recommend that you consult your architect, contractor, or interior designer to implement some of the suggestions.

Shading

Adding shading to your front entrance areas is a practical way to prevent damage to your doors. By providing enough protection from direct sunlight and heat, the outside of your door will stay cool enough for you to operate.

Colour Fading

With temperatures occasionally reaching over 50 degrees Celsius, anything that is exposed to the sunlight is also exposed to harsh UV rays which can cause the rapid discolouration or colour fading of exterior walls and doors.

Water Proofing and Thresholds

Sometimes, heavy rainstorms can cause flooding if the drainage system is not adequate or poorly designed. If you're planning to build or renovate, it's essential to ensure that the contractor installs the right amount of waterproofing and drainage.

Sand and Dust Sealing

Windy days often bring with them an abundance of dust that can easily make its way into your home through gaps around doors and windows. This can lead to a neverending cycle of cleaning as you constantly have to sweep or vacuum.

Termites

Termites can cause significant damage to your property's wooden features, such as doors and windows, making them look unsightly and requiring expensive replacements. In some cases, termites can also attack wall plastering, insulation, and even certain types of plastic.
