Slim Fixed Windows in Green Community DIP
A Cohesive and Contemporary Renovation
This project demonstrates how aesthetic and performance modernisation can dramatically transform a villa’s character. By methodically replacing dated, “chunky” window and door frames with sleek, contemporary alternatives, we redefined the home’s presence, creating a sophisticated look that complements its architectural appeal.
Prior to the renovation, the villa featured white, chunky-framed doors and windows that felt dated. The client’s vision was to pivot toward a modern, minimalist aesthetic that better reflected their personal style. Therefore, we used Fusion’s sleek, slim-framed glazing solutions in Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016), which effectively enhanced the final look.
Fusion Windows
These slim-framed picture windows, also called fixed windows or gallery windows, were used to maximise natural light and showcase the surrounding landscape. Some of the fixed windows were arched to complement the building’s distinctive, elegant architectural style. All Fusion windows and doors feature 32mm thick performance glass units that offer excellent insulation and heat rejection, significantly improving the home’s energy efficiency. Additionally, fixed windows offer a budget-friendly alternative to openable doors or windows in areas with low foot traffic.
Fusion French Doors
The ground-floor terrace facing the pool features Fusion’s slim-framed French doors (Anthracite Grey), which blend in well with the rectangular fixed windows at the same level and create a seamless aesthetic.

Inotherm Front Door
To complete the modernisation, the front door was replaced with an Anthracite Grey Inotherm door, in the model AAE-1709. This door complemented the villa’s new windows, creating a cohesive look.
Key features of this Inotherm front door include:
- 3D decorative bars on the external face of the door
- A sidelight on the left-hand side of the single door panel
- A 1.6 m long recessed bar handle
- A day latch and time-delay system that allows users to temporarily disable automatic locking during periods of increased foot traffic, enhancing convenience and security.
The Final Effect - A Revamped Home With Elevated Aesthetic Appeal
The strategic replacement of every external door and window created a stunningly cohesive and sophisticated look that revitalised the home’s architecture. The dark grey frames provide an elegant contrast to the villa’s white exterior, enhancing its overall appearance. On the inside, the new windows let in more natural light, making the space feel brighter. These home improvements have modernised the property while keeping the owner’s budget in mind.
