Our client was looking to update his family home in Victory Heights, Dubai and create a more permanent outdoor living space for his young family to enjoy.

He turned to Oryx to deliver a solution that would give plenty of space for his children to play and run around freely from house to garden, with their pet dogs. But living so close to a golf course meant lots of annoying flying visitors could easily ruin the mood of outside-in living.

Oryx, therefore, proposed a solution of three folding sliding doors to make the most of the garden landscape and views of the community, coupled with three made-to-measure Freedom Retractable Insect Screens fitted alongside. The folding doors can be left wide open – giving the children the freedom to play happily and safely – while with the lightest touch, the flyscreen can be pushed along their inbuilt track, to keep insects from getting in.

The installation project required a bespoke approach due to the existing arches where the doors would be positioned. The team was able to replace these arches to the exact same profile as the folding doors plus install two other arched windows and a single arch door, ensuring a final look that was sleek and coordinated, practical and convenient for all the family. Challenges like these are no match to our ability to work around any opening and angle.
