Sexy Fish, a well-known international restaurant brand, opened in Dubai’s trendy DIFC business district, becoming one of Oryx’s most visually stunning commercial installations. Following the success of our milestone project at Aura Skypool, Oryx Doors and Windows was selected to provide the architectural glazing and outdoor shading solutions for the prestigious restaurant, which is known for its Japanese-inspired cuisine, bespoke artwork, and electrifying entertainment.
Seamless Transition from Summer to Winter
For a high-end venue like Sexy Fish, space transformation is a top priority. The restaurant’s atmosphere shifts from a sophisticated lunch setting to a late-night, experience-led dining destination. Our Fusion folding doors are the perfect architectural glazing solution for the restaurant, as they slide open to blur the boundaries between the opulent interiors and the dazzling Dubai skyline.
During the intense summers, these slimline bifolds, which come with weather-tight seals, in-built thermal insulation, and performance glass, can remain closed to keep the heat, humidity, and dust firmly at bay, without overextending the air-conditioning or blocking the stunning views.
A Special Touch with Pergolas and Guillotine Doors
To further enhance the Sexy Fish experience, Oryx installed Renson’s Camargue pergolas and Fusion’s vertically sliding and motorised guillotine doors in the terrace area, creating a bespoke, luxury aesthetic that complements the restaurant’s interiors designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio (MBDS).
Precision Engineering and Bespoke Finishes
We partnered with BW Interiors to select Fusion doors and Renson pergolas because of their exceptional performance, sleek designs and suitability for the project’s design vision.
- Fusion Folding Doors: Feature ultra-slim aluminium frames that can reach up to 5m in height, making them ideal for the grand scale of commercial spaces. Beyond their thermal insulation properties, these doors operate flawlessly thanks to expertly engineered steel roller wheel technology and can be installed in over 150 RAL colours – perfect for matching any restaurant’s intricate theme.
- Fusion Guillotine Doors: A rare but fitting glazing solution designed for effortless operation and functional appeal. With vertically sliding motorised glass panels, they glide open to transform the space into a beautiful terrace for al-fresco dining, and when closed, they create an elegant, private event room usable all year-round.
- Renson Pergolas: With their beautiful and sleek finishes, Renson pergolas can be seamlessly integrated into exquisite interior designs, such as that at Sexy Fish, using a combination of bioclimatic rotating roof louvres, ambient lighting, and unique frame colours.
