Our History

This journey began with the introduction of the Origin brand, the UK’s leading specialist manufacturer of bespoke aluminium Origin Folding Sliding Doors and Windows. Precision-engineered from high-grade aluminium, Origin’s unique products offer versatility, durability and exquisite style, to help turn any property into an awe-inspiring home.

Guy set up Oryx Door Systems in Dubai in 2011, after helping to establish Origin as the UK’s foremost manufacturer of aluminium folding sliding doors in the UK. Oryx Door Systems is the sole distributor of Origin folding sliding doors and has now extended the product range to include high-performance windows, residential front doors, insect screens and switchable smart film.

I’ve been very fortunate to have worked for some of the most innovative and successful companies in the world. They have reinforced the importance of the highest quality AND amazing customer service in differentiating Oryx as a company. Seeing a gap in the market for premium doors and windows, we opened the first overseas office for Origin UK, in Dubai, in 2011. Oryx then became its distributor in 2016, with a portfolio of custom-made products from around the world. We have experienced steady growth since then, and I remain confident that Oryx is a happy, healthy and rewarding place for all of us that are involved in its success. I love my work, and my expanding family, and try to squeeze in as much tennis, yoga and golf as I can.
